FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS

Next Generation Fire Suppression Technology

MusterII Fire Suppression Systems offer a range of fully monitored solutions that combine the latest technology with a simple design, and quick to connect wiring system. The in-built accuracy of the MusterII Fire Suppression System is controlled using state-of-the-art intelligent pressure sensors.

The fully monitored MusterII Fire Suppression System is available in two fire sensing modes. Either MusterWire Linear Heat Detection (LHD) wire sensing or Loss of Pressure (LOP) sensing.

Both sensing systems are fully monitored at all times, which allows the operator to view the overall integrity of the system, see that it is at the correct pressure, that all the sensors are active, and that the system is ready to actuate anytime a fire is detected.

The new MusterII Fire Suppression System comes with stainless steel components; including the valve, cylinder and fittings, ensuring its performance & longevity in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

MusterII ALARM PANEL

The hub of MusterII Systems. Provides 24/7 monitoring for performance integrity. Configured for either LHD or LOP sensing systems, rated to IP66 and independantly powered. Also a manual activation point streamlining installation.

MusterII DIAGNOSTICS MODULE

Connected via the data port on the back of the Alarm Panel, the module shows real-time system pressure, battery status, and details any faults in the system. Also able to download data logs, and reset or isolate the system.

MusterII MUSTERWIRE

Our LHD sensing system is MusterWire, designed to provide assurity in the detection process. Two twin-core, polymer insulated, sprung & spiralled wires ensure contact closure at 180° Celsius.

MusterII ELECTRONIC VALVE

MusterII Electronic Valve used on MusterWire LHD systems. A transducer located within the valve monitors cylinder pressure and communicates the cylinder status back to the Alarm Panel.

MusterII STAINLESS STEEL CYLINDERS

Constructed to AS2470, all components are manufactured in 304 grade stainless steel, ensuring longevity, durability & greater accuracy in performance. Completed in a UV stabilised powder coated finish.

MusterII LOSS OF PRESSURE VALVE

When a Loss of Pressure detection system is preferred, the MusterII LOP Valve featuring the LOP Pressure Sensor, combined with the Alarm Panel in LOP mode, provides a fully monitored LOP Fire Suppression system.

MusterII DISCHARGE NOZZLES

MusterII nozzles, available in 60° or 120° spray pattern, to ensure the effectiveness of the system. Protected from contaminants by our high tech MusterCaps™, designed to ensure the nozzle ejects the cap fast and effectively.

MusterII FITTINGS & PUSH-ON HOSE

MusterII fittings are precision made, and designed for durability using commonly available threads. Our hoses are abrasion, ozone and weather resistant, and temperature rated from -40°C to +100°C.

MusterII CYLINDER FILLING TUBE

Designed to ensure the highest degree of accuracy when filling the cylinders. Features a simple and easy locking adjustment, and a hard anodised finish for protection. Suits all four cylinder sizes - 22L, 38L, 66L & 110L.

Machine specifications, risk assessment, system design & layout, BOM, Commissioning Report & Service Sheets tailored to suit each individual machine.

MUSTERWIRE LINEAR HEAT DETECTION (LHD) FIRE SENSING WIRE

MusterWire uses Linear Heat Detection for fire sensing. The electrical wire can run throughout the engine bay, gear box, cable harness and other areas of high risk. It ensures a reliable fire suppression system by monitoring and reacting when exposed to high heat. MusterWire activates at 180°C, when the outer layers melt and causes the twin conductor cores of the cable to touch, sending a signal directly back to the Alarm Panel. Detection is instant; giving the operator precious time to react.

MusterII LOSS OF PRESSURE DETECTION (LOP)

Utilising a state of the art LOP pressure sensor; the stainless steel system updates the Alarm Panel with information every second. Tubing is strategically positioned above areas identified in the risk assessment. The tubing is pressurised and when the tubing is exposed to fire the rapid elevation in temperature causes the material to plasticise and rupture. The resulting sudden release of pressure to the actuation circuit then acts to open the actuation valve and release the foam mix. The pressure drop in the system then sets off the fire alarm.

MusterII LOSS OF PRESSURE DETECTION - INTRINSICALLY SAFE

MusterII also offers an intrinsically safe alternative for use in a range of applications such as underground mining, petro chemical etc. Incorporating nylon tube for fire detection, all the actuation components are pneumatically operated. This includes a pneumatic valve which is used to cut the fuel supply. A manually operated remote actuator has a swift single motion action, putting the system in the hands of the operator.

MINING

Heavy demands on plant and equipment in mining means the machines are pushed hard to perform. Depending on their usage, different machines will have differing fire risk profiles. All systems are carefully designed based on risk.

AGRICULTURE

Harvester fires not only damage or destroy machinery but can also cause considerable damage to surrounding crops and properties. Bearings & hydraulics need to be closely assessed for fire risk.

ONROAD TRANSPORT

Passenger vehicles such as buses, and commercial vehicles such as semi-trailers, can have significant fire risks. The alarm raised by the MusterII Fire Suppression system allows passengers & drivers to safety exit the vehicle.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

Renewable energy production requires reliable lubrication systems. However some lubrication points are very difficult to access and these areas represent significant fire risks.

CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT

High powered engines in construction machines generate extreme temperatures. Should any hydraulic hoses leak or burst, there is a high risk of fire, and injury to personnel.
