Lubrication Management

LUBRICATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Overview of SKF Monoflex Systems

SKF MonoFlex Single-line Automatic Lubrication Systems Designed for Oil, & Grease NLGI grades 000 to 00.

Typically used in applications such as commercial vehicles, machine tools, printing machines, textile machines, packaging machines and more, single-line centralized lubrication systems are designed to feed a machine's lube points frequently, with relatively small amounts of lubricant, as required. Single-line systems can be designed for oil or grease.

Automatic systems are controlled by either an external timer or internal timer. Exchangeable metering nipples on the distributors make it possible to deliver the required amount of lubricant with every stroke or work cycle of the pump. The metering range runs from 0.1cc to 0.4 cc per lube cycle per point. The modular nature of this type of system makes it relatively easy to plan and expand.

MONOFLEX LUBRICATION PUMPS— KFU2-40, KFU6-20, KFUS2-64

The gear pumps continuously supplies lubricant to the re-lubrication distributors via the main line network .Nearly every size of system on commercial vehicles, including superstructures, can be supplied by one single pump unit when a KFU series pump unit is used.

PISTON DISTRIBUTORS, GROUP VKSO (RELUBRICATION DISTRIBUTORS)

The distributors meter and distribute the lubricant from the pump to the individual lubrication points. They do so independent of each other. Interchangeable metering nipples make it possible to adapt the quantity to the amount of lubricant required by the friction point.

MONOFLEX LUBRICATION PUMPS—SKF KFBS1

The KFB/KFBS compact unit consists mainly of a gear pump with DC gear motor, relief and safety valve, control unit, push-button for manual triggering, and lubricant reservoir. The KFBS pump unit is controlled by the integrated IG502-I control and monitoring unit.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT IG502-2-E

For use with systems fitted with KFU2-4 and KFU6-20 lubrication pumps, the IG502-2-E universal control unit is used to control and monitor centralized lubrication systems on commercial vehicles. The unit has a voltage-independent data memory and display panel.

MINING

An important consideration in the mining market is effective equipment lubrication. Correct lubrication not only reduces wear, but also acts to purge the pins and bushings of contamination.

AGRICULTURE

Today's farmers face many challenges, including the protection of their machinery in the harsh environment in which it operates. Lubrication management is a must to ensure safety and productivity.

FOOD & BEVERAGE

Moisture, temperature changes, product spillage and washdown practices all contribute to reduced bearing life which, in turn, can lead to reduced levels of productivity.

PRINTING

Consistency and reliability in ink supply are vital ingredients in any printing operation. The automation of lubrication management ensures presses operate in optimum condition.

ONROAD TRANSPORT

Fleet operations and transportation companies are constantly under pressure to save money, increase productivity and make every investment in commercial vehicles last longer.

OTHER INDUSTRIES

Lubrication Management provides considerable benefits to a number of industries. These include Stevedoring, Wind Farming, Railways, plus many more...
